Kung Hee Fat Choy!

In Hawaii, we say "Kung Hee Fat Choy," which is a variation of the Cantonese greeting "Kung Hei Fat Choi" meaning "wishing you great happiness and prosperity." This sweet, sticky rice pudding is made out of brown sugar and glutinous rice flour, often wrapped in ti leaves and steamed for hours. Lion dancing which is said to ward off evil spirits is another popular tradition, while feeding the lion money in the form of dollar bills will bring good luck.
