Two New Tenants Open at Ward Village,Ed Chong, R

Ward Village, a mixed-use development in Kaka'ako, is welcoming two new tenants: Tali's Bagels and Schmear and The Muumuu Library. Tali's Bagels and Schmear is a New York-style bagel shop that will open its doors on July 1. The shop will offer a variety of bagels, including traditional flavors like plain, poppy seed, and sesame, as well as more unique flavors like garlic asiago and everything bagel. Tali's Bagels will also offer a variety of schmears, spreads, and toppings, as well as breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The shop is co-owned by Talia Bongolan-Schwartz, who is a native of New York City. Bongolan-Schwartz said that she was inspired to open Tali's Bagels after missing the authentic New York-style bagels that she grew up with. “Ward Village is the perfect location for our storefront, allowing us to share Jewish comfort food with an even wider audience in a community that celebrates small, local and diverse businesses and eateries.” The Muumuu Library is a vintage clothing store that will opened its doors on June 28. The store will offer a variety of vintage Hawaiian dresses, as well as other Hawaiian-inspired clothing and accessories. The  Mu'umu'u Library invites women to share the joy of Aloha Wear as a sustainable fashion community. Borrow and trade from their collection of vintage Hawaiian dresses, patterns, and literature The Mu‘umu‘u Library is a volunteer-run community closet, workspace, and a program of Pu‘uhonua Society.  We hope to create a space for local women to perpetuate Hawaiian fashion by providing the means to create and celebrate mu‘umu‘u. Tali's Bagels and Schmear and The Muumuu Library are the latest additions to Ward Village's growing roster of retailers and restaurants. The development is home to a variety of businesses, including Whole Foods Market, Target, and Apple. Ward Village is located in the heart of Honolulu, and is easily accessible by car, bus, and bike. The development is also home to a number of parks and green spaces, making it a great place to live, work, and play.
